Associate Accountant | Richmond, VA, United States | Hybrid

The Role

  • Prepare and review accounting processes for Fixed Income assets, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and US Statutory regulations.
  • Evaluate system outputs and perform SOX Controls for owned accounting processes.
  • Research accounting guidance to identify efficiencies and address gaps in current business processes.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to enhance efficiency and deliver business results.
  • Support the preparation of internal and external U.S. GAAP and Statutory reporting.
  • Identify opportunities for workflow improvements within the team.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business discipline.
  • 1-3 years of experience in GAAP/Statutory Accounting.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to navigate conflict.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
  • Prior experience with account reconciliations, exception management, and resolution is a plus.
