Job Description

Jobber helps small home service businesses - plumbers, electricians, painters, landscapers - quote, schedule, invoice and get paid, while giving their customers an easy and professional experience. Our culture of transparency, inclusivity, collaboration and innovation has been recognized by Great Place to Work and Canada's Most Admired Corporate Cultures.

We're looking for a Senior Product Manager, Automations Platform to be part of our AI Workflows product organization.

The team:

The Automations Platform team builds the system that lets Jobber Teammate, our AI teammate for home service businesses, do a service provider's work for them. Every automation in Jobber runs on what this team builds.

The role:

You'll make it possible for Jobber Teammate to automate every task in Jobber.

Today a handful of automations exist and each one is expensive to build. The ambition is that every task a service provider repeats in their week has an automation that does it for them. Getting there takes two things at once, and this role does both.

You'll build the platform: the authoring, execution and evaluation models that let any product team at Jobber ship an automation without first becoming AI specialists. Skill files, tool calls, and evals that make an automation measurably better over time.

You'll also build on the platform: choosing the automations that matter most, shipping them yourself, and making them easy to find, enable and trust. Being the platform's hardest customer is what keeps it honest.

Over time you'll open it up, so service providers create their own and the best ones spread to businesses like theirs.

This suits someone equally at home in an architecture discussion and a customer interview.

As Senior Product Manager you will:

  • Build a deep understanding of home service businesses and the repeated work that consumes their week.

  • Own the automation platform: how automations are authored, how they execute, and how they're evaluated and improved.

  • Make it fast and cheap for any Jobber team to ship an automation, and measure yourself on their throughput rather than your own.

  • Build the highest-impact automations yourself, and make them easy for service providers to find, enable and trust.

  • Build an Evals platform, that makes it easy to iterate on and improve automations so the quality bar is constantly raising

  • Bring the product requirements to our AI Foundations engineering team, who build the underlying agent infrastructure.

  • Define the metrics that tell you the platform works: cost and speed of building an automation, engagement with the ones we ship, and growth of the library.

To be successful, you should have:

  • 5+ years of product management experience, with evidence of shipping real AI products and seeing them through to long-term outcomes.

  • A growth mindset and someone who thrives in change and ambiguity. The AI Org you’ll join is a fast moving space and we expect that the technology, positioning, scope and roles will all continue to evolve as we learn together

  • Experience building an AI platform was genuinely adopted - won through advocacy, tooling, and documentation.

  • Experience shipping LLM-backed or ML-backed products, with real respect for how they fail.

  • A track record of making a contested technical decision and making it stick.

  • Comfort thinking in unit economics, because the cost of building an automation decides whether this strategy is real.

Bonus points if you have:

  • Experience with agent frameworks, tool calling, or evaluation and observability systems for AI.

  • Experience with workflow automation, or no-code and low-code builder products.

  • Experience in home services, field service, or SMB software.

Hiring Process:

  • An interview with a Talent team member (45 mins)

  • A Hiring Manager Interview (60 mins)

  • A take-home challenge with a follow-up Functional Interview (90 mins)

  • A Senior Leadership Interview (30 mins)

Location:

We believe great collaboration is intentional, and sometimes that means coming together in person. This role is open to candidates based in one of our hub cities: Toronto, Edmonton, Vancouver, and Boston.

Compensation:

At Jobber, we believe that compensation should be transparent, fair, and supportive of your experience and growth. This role has a minimum annual salary of $145,900, a midpoint of $171,600, and a maximum salary of $197,400, designed to reflect the progression from learning the ropes to truly excelling.

We design our compensation to reflect each new hire's skills, experience, and the complexity of the role, ensuring a fair and competitive salary. Our range is intentionally broad to support growth and long-term impact, with fully established hires typically starting around the midpoint. The higher end of the range is reserved for those who have demonstrated deep expertise and lasting contributions, while offers below the midpoint reflect strong potential with room to develop. This approach ensures that compensation aligns with both an individual's current capabilities and their opportunity for future growth.

Base salary is just one part of a total compensation package that will include equity rewards, annual stipends for health and wellness, retirement savings matching, and an extended health package with fully paid premiums for body and mind. Your professional growth matters to us too! You'll have access to a dedicated talent development program that includes career coaching and opportunities for career development. We believe in transparency and open conversations about compensation. If you have any questions about our approach, we're happy to discuss them throughout the hiring process!

What you can expect from Jobber:

  • A total compensation package that includes an extended health benefits package with fully paid premiums for both body and mind, matching in RRSP, TFSA or FHSA, and stock options.

  • A dedicated Talent Development team and access to coaching, learning, and leadership programs to help you grow your career, reach your goals, and unlock your full potential.

  • A unique opportunity to build, grow, and leave your impact on a $400-billion industry that has no dominant player...yet.

  • To work with a group of people who are humble, supportive, and give a sh*t about our customers.

We believe that diverse teams perform better and that fostering an inclusive work environment is a key part of growing a successful team. We welcome people of diverse backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. We are an equal opportunity employer, and we are committed to working with applicants requesting accommodation at any stage of the hiring process.
