Automation Test Lead

Location: San Diego, CA Salary: $50.00 USD Hourly - $55.00 USD Hourly Description:
Role Summary
Seeking an experienced Automation Test Led to drive test automation strategy and support release management for enterprise applications. The role requires strong hands-on expertise in Playwright automation, Selenium, TypeScript, API testing, Python programming, CI/CD practices, and framework migration from Selenium to Playwright. The candidate will also contribute to testing Generative AI solutions leveraging enterprise LLM platforms and cloud services.

Key Responsibilities
Write, enhance, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Playwright. Lead and support migration of automation frameworks from Selenium to Playwright. Drive test automation strategy and release management activities. Perform API testing and automation using relevant frameworks and tools. Collaborate with development and DevOps teams on CI/CD pipeline implementation and execution. Utilize tools such as Jira, Confluence, GitHub, and GitHub Copilot within the testing lifecycle. Incorporate GenAI tools and methodologies into testing processes.

Test Generative AI applications, including prompt validation, model evaluation, and AI application testing. Required Qualifications
Strong hands-on experience with UI automation using Playwright and Selenium. Experience migrating Selenium-based automation frameworks to Playwright. Proficiency in TypeScript programming. Strong API testing experience, including Rest Assured framework exposure. Python programming experience for automation and testing activities. Experience with CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions, and DevOps practices.

Hands-on experience testing Generative AI solutions utilizing LLMs such as OpenAI, Claude, or similar platforms. Experience working with enterprise collaboration and tracking tools including Jira, Confluence, and GitHub.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience leveraging GitHub Copilot or similar AI-assisted development tools. Exposure to cloud-based AI services and AI application validation. Experience supporting distributed or offshore delivery teams. Experience balancing both technical automation responsibilities and release coordination activities.
