Data Engineer

Up to £45,000 + Benefits
Liverpool (Hybrid, 1 day per week in the office)This is a fantastic opportunity to join a purpose-driven organisation where you can take ownership of building and maintaining data pipelines across a modern Microsoft and cloud-based data platform. You'll work within a growing Data Engineering team and play a key role in shaping the future of the company's data infrastructure. THE COMPANY:Our client delivers a wide range of services designed to transform people's lives and strengthen communities. As the organisation continues investing in its data capabilities, they are expanding their Data Engineering team.THE ROLE:You will take ownership of developing and maintaining scalable data solutions across a modern Azure, Snowflake, and Fabric ecosystem. Key responsibilities include:

  • Building and maintaining data ingestion pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Snowflake.
  • Developing and supporting data warehousing solutions and dimensional data models.
  • Creating and optimising datasets to support reporting, analytics, and business insights.
  • Supporting the ongoing migration and development of solutions within Microsoft Fabric.
  • Collaborating with analysts and stakeholders to deliver high-quality, trusted data assets and documentation.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:You will bring strong capability in:

  • Data engineering experience, ideally 1-2 years in a dedicated engineering role.
  • Building and maintaining ETL / ELT pipelines.
  • Data warehousing concepts and dimensional modelling.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience working within cloud-based data environments.
