Systems Engineering Manager IV | De Leon Springs, FL, United States | Hybrid

We're hiring on behalf of a venerable defense contractor with a rich history of innovation and exceptional manufacturing capabilities. This organization is a critical player in national security, specializing in advanced maritime solutions and sensor technologies for undersea warfare. They are seeking problem solvers to tackle complex defense technology challenges and lead a high-performing engineering team.

The Role

  • Lead and mentor an engineering group of 8-10 staff, ensuring departmental goals and project objectives are met.
  • Oversee departmental budget, staffing, and performance management, including writing and administering performance appraisals.
  • Manage requirements development, requirements management, and implement model-based systems engineering (MBSE) practices across programs.
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and technical performance measures (TPMs) to drive quality and project execution.
  • Potentially interface directly with customers to represent the organization through presentations and meetings.
  • Assign tasks to engineers and teams, monitor progress, and identify training needs to maintain a strong knowledge base.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering; Master's degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of relevant engineering experience.
  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance.
  • Proficiency in job-specific software applications.
