Technical Sales Representative, Metalworking Fluids

Detroit, MI (Field-based, Michigan territory)

Own and grow an established Michigan territory selling metalworking fluids and metal pretreatment chemicals to manufacturers for a well-established industrial chemical company. This is a full-cycle role: prospect, close, and stay hands-on with technical service in your customers' plants. Pay is $100K to $125K plus a car allowance.

Must-Haves

• 3+ years in industrial chemical sales, technical service, or account management involving metalworking fluids and/or metal pretreatment chemicals
• Strong working knowledge of MWF applications in machining, fabrication, or manufacturing
• Experience working directly with manufacturing plants and industrial customers
• Willing to handle both sales and hands-on technical service
• Willing to travel throughout Michigan
• Must live in Michigan

What You'll Do

• Develop new business and expand existing accounts across Michigan
• Sell and service MWF, pretreatment chemicals, and related solutions
• Build relationships with plant personnel, engineers, and purchasing teams
• Troubleshoot applications and recommend products that improve process performance
• Run the full sales cycle, from prospecting and presentations to proposals and closing
• Visit customers regularly to check performance and find new opportunities
• Partner with internal technical and customer service teams on retention

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with both MWF and metal pretreatment/finishing chemicals
• Background with a manufacturer or distributor of MWF or pretreatment chemicals
• Existing relationships in Michigan's manufacturing market
• Bachelor's in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Engineering, or Business
• Based in the Detroit or Lansing metro areas
