Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescription: Job Title: Yard LaborerLocation: RichmondFLSA Status: Full-Time Non-ExemptReports To: Yard ManagerHours: Office hours 7:30 am – 4:30 pm Monday - FridayJob SummaryYard Laborer is responsible for receiving, moving, staging, and loading materials in the supply yard. This role ensures that building materials are handled safely and efficiently to support daily operations and job site deliveries. Due to the physical nature of the work, this position is performed in person on-site and requires the ability to operate forklifts and follow safety procedures.

Duties and ResponsibilitiesMaintain regular and predictable attendance; report to work on-timeProvide excellent customer service and reflect our company’s core values at all timesFollow all safety procedures and reflect the company’s core values at all timesLoad and unload trucks, move materials within yard or work site, or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand or by yard truckResponsible for installation of strapping, bracing, or padding to materials including placement and tightening of restraints prior to departure to prevent shifting or damage in transitRead work orders or receive instructions to identify and locate materialsBunk and band materials into bundles using appropriate equipmentStage materials for job deliveries and ensure accuracy before loadingInstall strapping, bracing, or padding to secure loads for transportAttach identifying tags or labels to materials as neededMaintain cleanliness and organization of the yard areaPerform other duties as assignedComplies with QSI policies and proceduresThis job description is intended to outline the general nature and level of work performed in this role.
