Python Application Developer

Location: Atlanta, GA

Job Type: Full Time with Hexaware

Interview: Virtual 12-09-2026

Note: Must be open to relocation to the Atlanta, GA area from day 1 onsite.

Job Summary

Seeking a Python Application Developer to perform high-complexity, system-level analysis, design, development, and unit testing of software applications. You will resolve defects encountered during various testing cycles.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with product owners and team members to define features and user stories for large/complex projects
  • Create and update documentation: specifications, implementation guides, architecture diagrams
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to project vision and standard patterns
  • Respond to production support calls and perform quick repairs
  • Mentor less experienced staff
  • Lead projects end to end with minimal supervision
  • Leverage the DevOps tool stack to build, inspect, deploy, test, and promote new features
  • Serve as technical lead, architect, or principal developer on large projects
Required Skills and Experience
  • 8+ years relevant IT/software development experience
  • 4+ years' experience with Python, SQL, Spark, and Amazon EMR
  • 5+ years building and deploying applications in AWS (S3, Lambda, Elastic Beanstalk, Hive, Glue, Redshift, RDS, CloudWatch, SNS, SQS, Kinesis)
  • Experience processing large amounts of structured and unstructured data
  • Expert proficiency in unit testing and coding in 1 2 languages (e.g., Python, Java)
  • CI/CD experience with Git, Bitbucket, and Jenkins
  • Strong SQL skills
  • Knowledge of R for statistical programming and data visualization
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field
  • Professional certification(s) desired
