The Opportunity:
As an embedded sof tware engineer, you know how to create and maintain cru cia l pieces of sof tware. You use your knowledge to write and optimize code that creates a bridge between pieces of sof tware, allowing them to communicate. We're looking for an experienced embedded sof tware engineer like you to develop technology for our clients' most important mission-forward challenges.
As a senior embedded sof tware engineer at Booz Allen, you'll support the development of systems, sit es, and tools for our clients. Using the latest tools and technology, you'll write, test, and edit code in support of the team's overall results. You'll expand your skills as you develop and reverse engineer sof tware that supports hardware functionality on a wide range of devices, as well as configure solutions based on the platform being used. You'll work with other team leaders to troubleshoot and correct operational issues, as well as with cybersecurity spe cia lists to ensure that the sof tware you're creating is secure.

You Have:

• Experience with reverse engineering tools such as IDA Pro or Ghidra
• Experience with AI- or LLM-powered developer tools, including chat-based interfaces or automated coding agents
• Experience developing sof tware tools, scripts, or plugins to support analysis workflows
• Experience with at least one scripting or programming language commonly used in RE workflows
• Knowledge of low-level sof tware concepts, including assembly, binaries, memory, and calling conventions
• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
• Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of experience in sof tware engineering or 16+ years of experience in sof tware engineering in lieu of a degree

Nice If You Have:

• Experience reverse engineering Linux-based network devices or embedded systems
• Experience with firm ware analysis, boot load ers, and networking protocols
• Experience applying automation or AI techniques to reverse engineering tasks
• Experience with Python or similar scripting languages used in RE tooling

Clearance :

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
