Tunnl is building a future where artificial intelligence enables organizations to connect meaningfully with the people who matter most. We help organizations conduct research at scale, define the right audiences, surface real-time insights, identify optimal communication channels, and measure changing attitudes over time.

Tunnl serves brands, agencies, and advocacy groups alike - organizations navigating complex communications, reputational, and regulatory landscapes. These teams need smarter, faster ways to make audience-informed decisions that stand up to scrutiny and resonate across stakeholder groups. Whether you're building a brand, shaping public opinion, managing risk, or launching a new initiative, Tunnl empowers you to move from insight to impact with clarity & confidence.

Role Summary

Tunnl is seeking a Senior FP&A Analyst to own financial planning, forecasting, and reporting for a fast-growing, AI-powered data intelligence company. This is a highly visible, individual-contributor role at the center of how Tunnl plans, measures, and communicates its financial performance.

Reporting to the Senior Director, Finance and Operations, this role will own the monthly forecast cycle, build the financial models that inform budget and headcount decisions, and support the reporting Tunnl's board and investors rely on. You'll work closely with department leads across the company and have real ownership over the tools and processes that keep Tunnl's finances sharp.

What You'll Do

  • Own the monthly and quarterly forecast and budget-to-actual variance analysis across departments, with written commentary

  • Build and maintain financial models supporting revenue, headcount, and opex planning

  • Build and report on SaaS metrics (ARR, NRR, gross margin, burn, etc.)

  • Prepare board and investor reporting packages, including financial metrics, KPIs, and narrative

  • Partner with department leads on budget tracking and ad hoc financial analysis

  • Maintain and improve Tunnl's financial systems and reporting workflows, including Abacum, Rillet, and Rippling

  • Assist with cash flow monitoring and cash scenario planning

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field

  • 4-6 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, accounting, or a related analytical finance role

  • Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills with experience building driver-based budgeting, forecasting, and variance models from scratch

  • Experience turning analysis into clear recommendations for non-finance leader, and/or presenting to executives or a board

  • Willingness to learn and adopt modern FP&A, ERP, and HRIS platforms (we use Abacum, Rillet, and Rippling) to streamline and automate reporting

  • Comfort owning work independently in a growing, fast-moving team\

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience at a SaaS or data company

  • Hands-on experience with Abacum, Rillet, and/or Rippling, or comparable tools

  • Master's degree in Finance or a related field or CFA

Why You Should Apply:

  • Join a team driven by curiosity, teamwork, integrity, and a shared passion for solving big challenges.

  • A friendly, welcoming, and supportive culture with regular social and team events.

  • Comprehensive benefits with excellent medical, vision, and dental coverage.

  • Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Account (FSA) options.

  • Employer-paid life insurance & short-term & long-term disability, with other voluntary additional coverage available (accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity).

  • Flexible hybrid work policy.

  • Flexible paid vacation plus 80 hours of paid sick leave.

  • 10 paid company holidays per year.

  • 401(k) plan with 100% match up to 3%, plus 50% match up to 5% (subject to IRS limits).

  • Cell phone reimbursement stipend.

  • Monthly parking or commuter stipend for VA-based employees.
