Equipment & Tool Engineer II (Asset Software & Controls)
Location: Auburn, WA (100% Onsite)
Shift: 1st Shift | 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Duration: 6 Months (Potential Extension)
Job Summary
Seeking an Equipment & Tool Engineer to support the design, implementation, maintenance, and improvement of automated production equipment and control systems in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will work closely with operations, maintenance, quality, and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability, safety, and performance.
Key Responsibilities

• Support automated equipment, controls, and tooling systems.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, electrical, and production equipment issues.
• Develop, test, and implement equipment upgrades and process improvements.
• Perform root cause analysis and corrective actions for production issues.
• Support industrial networking, data collection systems, and equipment cybersecurity.
• Manage equipment modification and acquisition projects.
• Create equipment specifications, documentation, and supplier bid packages.
• Track and improve equipment performance metrics (OEE, MTBF, MTTR, uptime).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance manufacturing efficiency and safety.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or a related field.
• 2+ years of engineering experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing/production environments.
• Knowledge of electrical and electronic systems.
• Industrial controls, networking, servers, and databases experience.
• Troubleshooting and systems diagnostics expertise.
• Programming experience with C#, Java, Visual Basic, or similar languages.
