Job Description

Role: IT Senior Business Analyst
 
Location: US, preferably close to Philadelphia
 
Desired qualifications: IT or Logistics-related degree
 
Experience:
  • 5/6 years in an IT Business Analyst role within a logistics/supply chain organisation
  • Demonstrable analytical skills
  •  Significant knowledge and understanding of the logistics/supply chain industry and associated IT systems (such as WMS, TMS, OMS, etc). WMS: Blue Younder Discrete.
  •  Knowledge and experience in implementing automation for sites and customers.
  •  Capability to undertake the IT Project Manager role for small projects
  •  Capability to take the lead BA role on large-scale projects, often with high-profile international “Blue chip” clients
  •  Comfortable in operating in a wide range of business sectors such as Healthcare, Automotive, Technology, E-Commerce, Retail, Food, etc.
  •  Knowledge of SQL, diagramming tools, and testing software
 
Role detail:
  • Reporting to the Delivery leads and the IT Project Manager for allocated projects
  • Working within the structure of the Project Management methodology (CPM), undertaking a set of key tasks as listed below:
  • Take a lead role in workshops, working with internal and external key stakeholders to identify and document requirements to define the agreed scope of the project, subject to the sign-off of all parties
  • To act as a consultant, coordinator and liaison between the various parties in the development/configuration build stage of the solution, working to ensure fitness for purpose
  • Prepare test plans and conduct Systems Integration Testing (SIT), as required, to professional quality standards, ensuring that the end-to-end data exchanges between organisations and systems work as they should, and that the systems are correctly configured to meet the documented requirements
  • Support the user community in undertaking User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Support the preparation of the solution for live operation
  • Perform implementation and post-implementation support tasks, both on and off-site, as required by the project.
  • Projects are generally centred around client warehouses located throughout North America. The role will involve a combination of remote and on-site work, with the balance varying by project.
