This employer is seeking a skilled Technical Writer to support its clients in producing high-quality technical documentation. The organization is known for its impactful work within the public sector, fostering an environment where precise communication and adherence to standards are paramount.

The Role

• Review, edit, and revise documents to align with style guidelines and industry best practices for regulatory documents, manuals, and technical orders.
• Standardize and organize content from subject matter experts, ensuring clarity, flow, and readability.
• Produce original written content, reports, correspondence, and briefing materials.
• Maintain a comprehensive listing of technical documents, including key data and revision schedules.
• Apply advanced writing and editing concepts to create content in various formats, styles, and tones.
• Support clients with ad hoc tasks such as note-taking, research, and fact-checking.

What You'll Need

• Bachelor's degree or higher.
• A minimum of 10 years of relevant technical writing experience.
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance (US Citizenship required).
• Experience with records management processes and developing filing systems is a plus.
• Familiarity with Federally-mandated "plain language" principles is advantageous.
• Proficiency with InDesign is beneficial.
