Professional Job Description
Seeking an experienced Oracle Functional Consultant with 8 to 10 years of overall experience and 5 to 8+ years of specialized functional consulting expertise in Oracle EBS Projects (PA), Fixed Assets (FA), and Payables (AP) modules for a 6-month contract role in Chicago, IL (Hybrid setup). 
The candidate will serve as the functional subject matter expert for project accounting, CIP processes, project-to-asset capitalization flows, and month-end close reconciliations. Additionally, this role requires strong reporting and analytics capabilities in Oracle Analytics Server (OAS) and Oracle BI Repository (RPD) to perform data lineage analysis and validate transactional reporting from backend EBS tables to executive dashboards.

#Key Responsibilities
 Project Accounting & Capitalization Leadership: Lead functional analysis, design, testing, and production support for Oracle EBS Projects (PA), Fixed Assets (FA), Payables (AP), and General Ledger (GL) modules.
 Process Flow Optimization: Manage project-to-asset capitalization flows, including Generate Asset Lines, Interface Assets, Mass Additions, CIP aging, asset creation, transfers, retirements, and depreciation processing.
 Reporting & Analytics (OAS & RPD): Troubleshoot, validate, and support Oracle Analytics Server (OAS) reports and dashboards; perform data lineage analysis and hands-on maintenance of the Oracle BI Repository (RPD).
 Data Validation & Reconciliation: Write complex SQL queries to analyze backend Oracle EBS tables/views, validate subledger-to-GL accounting flows, reconcile transactional data, and support month-end/year-end close activities.
 Functional Artifacts & UAT: Partner directly with finance/accounting stakeholders to author functional design documentation, lead UAT execution, drive defect triage, and execute hypercare support.

#Required Qualifications
 Overall & Module Experience: 8 to 10 years of overall work experience with 5 to 8+ years as an Oracle Functional Consultant covering Oracle Projects (PA), Fixed Assets (FA), Payables (AP), and General Ledger (GL).
 Capitalization & Accounting Depth: Proven mastery of POET structures, AP-to-Projects, Projects-to-FA integration flows, and subledger accounting reconciliation.
 Analytics & Technical Stack: Strong hands-on proficiency in Oracle Analytics Server (OAS), Oracle BI Repository (RPD), and advanced SQL data validation across Oracle EBS data models.
 Work Setup & Location: Hybrid setup in Chicago, IL 60606 (or local Delivery Center).
