Intervention Tutor | Taunton, Somerset / Bristol, United Kingdom | Hybrid

We're hiring for an impact-driven community organization dedicated to transforming the lives of young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Join our mission to raise the standard of education for vulnerable learners by providing specialized, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring.

The Role

  • Provide in-person, online, or hybrid tuition in Maths, English, or Science to children and young people with SEND and SEMH.
  • Support pupils from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 5 with planning and delivering flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring.
  • Work with disengaged, at-risk, and vulnerable learners, making a significant difference in their educational journey.
  • Plan and report for lessons, providing regular feedback on student progress.
  • Engage in a mission to improve educational standards for young people with diverse learning needs, including MLD, SLD, and PMLD.

What You'll Need

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS).
  • Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, with a preference for experience with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD.
  • Familiarity teaching English, Maths, and/or Science.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment.
  • Enhanced DBS check (can be facilitated) and 2 professional references.
  • Right to work in the UK.
