Position Overview:
Our client is seeking an experienced Lead Blue Yonder Flexis & Transportation Management System Consultant to support a large-scale supply chain transformation program for a leading global automotive manufacturer.

The successful candidate will lead the design, configuration, implementation, integration, and optimization of Blue Yonder Flexis and TMS solutions across automotive production planning, vehicle and parts transportation, shipment execution, carrier management, and supply chain operations.

This position requires strong knowledge of automotive manufacturing and logistics processes, combined with hands-on experience implementing Blue Yonder or JDA transportation and supply chain solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
Blue Yonder Flexis:

• Lead the implementation and enhancement of Blue Yonder flexis solutions for automotive production and supply chain operations.
• Configure and optimize production planning, order slotting, sequencing, scheduling, capacity planning, and constraint-management processes.
• Translate manufacturing and logistics requirements into scalable flexis solution designs.
• Support production-order prioritization based on material availability, plant capacity, labor, equipment, and delivery commitments.
• Design exception-management processes for production disruptions, supply shortages, capacity constraints, and transportation delays.
• Work with plant, production-control, logistics, and supply-chain teams to improve planning accuracy and operational visibility.
• Support integration between flexis and enterprise platforms such as ERP, MES, TMS, WMS, supplier, and dealer systems.

Blue Yonder TMS:

• Lead functional design, configuration, testing, implementation, and production support for Blue Yonder TMS.
• Configure transportation planning, shipment consolidation, routing, load building, tendering, carrier assignment, appointment management, tracking, freight settlement, and exception management.
• Support inbound parts transportation, interplant movements, outbound vehicle logistics, service-parts distribution, and reverse-logistics processes.
• Design transportation optimization rules based on cost, capacity, service level, route, mode, equipment, and delivery constraints.
• Partner with logistics teams, carriers, freight forwarders, third-party logistics providers, suppliers, plants, distribution centers, and dealers.
• Analyze transportation performance and recommend improvements related to cost, utilization, service levels, lead time, and on-time delivery.

Solution Delivery and Integration:

• Conduct discovery workshops and document current-state and future-state business processes.
• Develop functional specifications, configuration documents, process flows, user stories, test scenarios, and operating procedures.
• Coordinate integrations with SAP or other ERP platforms, warehouse systems, manufacturing systems, carrier platforms, EDI networks, APIs, and data platforms.
• Define data requirements for orders, shipments, routes, carriers, rates, locations, equipment, inventory, production schedules, and delivery appointments.
• Partner with technical architects and integration teams to troubleshoot data, interface, performance, and configuration issues.
• Support system integration testing, user acceptance testing, regression testing, cutover, deployment, and post-production stabilization.
• Lead root-cause analysis and resolution of complex production incidents.
• Provide training and knowledge transfer to business users, product owners, support teams, and administrators.
• Ensure solutions comply with enterprise architecture, security, data-governance, and change-management standards.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 8 or more years of experience implementing enterprise supply chain, transportation, manufacturing, or logistics systems.
• 4 or more years of hands-on experience with Blue Yonder TMS, JDA Transportation Management, or comparable Blue Yonder logistics solutions.
• Hands-on knowledge of Blue Yonder flexis production planning, sequencing, slotting, scheduling, or transportation capabilities.
• Strong understanding of automotive manufacturing, production control, inbound logistics, outbound logistics, or service-parts distribution.
• Experience configuring transportation planning, execution, carrier tendering, routing, rating, tracking, exception management, and freight settlement.
• Experience integrating supply chain platforms with ERP, MES, WMS, EDI, API, carrier, and external logistics systems.
• Strong understanding of master data, transactional data, integration dependencies, and supply-chain process flows.
• Experience leading requirements workshops, solution design sessions, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with business leaders, supply-chain teams, technical teams, vendors, and implementation partners.
• Ability to work onsite or in a hybrid arrangement in the Dallas, Texas area.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience implementing Blue Yonder or flexis solutions within an automotive OEM, Tier 1 supplier, or automotive logistics environment.
• Experience with vehicle-order planning, assembly sequencing, production scheduling, parts logistics, yard operations, or finished-vehicle transportation.
• Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, SAP TM, manufacturing execution systems, or warehouse management systems.
• Experience with REST APIs, web services, XML, JSON, EDI, SQL, and integration middleware.
• Familiarity with transportation optimization, network modeling, carrier rate management, and freight audit processes.
• Experience supporting cloud-based Blue Yonder environments and enterprise deployment models.
• Blue Yonder, JDA, supply-chain, transportation, or project-management certifications.
• Experience working in Agile, Scrum, DevOps, or product-based delivery environments.
