Job Description

We are seeking an organised, personable Receptionist to join our team at GP Vets on a part-time fixed-term basis for 6 months.

 
As a small team, who are friendly and outgoing, you will be working closely with other receptionists and the clinical team. We are looking for a new member of staff to join us on a full-time basis initially on a 6-month fixed term contract which could potentially become permanent. The role of a veterinary client care receptionist is incredibly diverse, and no day is ever the same.
 

How You’ll Make a Difference

 

As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients, playing a key role in delivering a welcoming, professional and compassionate experience at every interaction.

 

You’ll support the smooth running of the practice by managing appointments, handling enquiries, supporting client communications and working closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to ensure a positive client and patient journey.

 

Working Pattern

 
* This is a part-time role working 36 hours per week working over both sites Basingstoke and Tadley and 1:3 Saturdays 8-12.
 

Key Responsibilities

 
* Greet clients and their pets
* Liaise with veterinary practices
* Arrange appointments
* Deal with inbound enquiries
* Deal with billing and insurance claims
* General administration tasks
