Syntronic – ZeBu Emulation /San Jose, CA

A ZeBu Emulation Engineer is a specialized hardware verification role focused on building and debugging emulation environments for SoCs, ensuring that pre-silicon validation and software bring-up are efficient, reliable, and ready for production silicon.

What you’ll do

· Engineers work closely with design, verification, and software teams to ensure the emulation environment is stable, efficient, and ready for silicon.

· ZeBu emulation is critical for pre-silicon software bring-up, hardware-software co-verification, and performance validation before tapeout

Responsibilities

We are looking for an Emulation Engineer to support silicon development and verification activities for Customer Reality Labs.

Key Responsibilities

· Develop, bring up, and maintain SoC/subsystem environments on Synopsys ZeBu emulation platforms.

· Enable and support downstream functional/verification teams to execute workloads, test scenarios, and debug issues on the emulation platform.

· Debug hardware, firmware, and system-level issues identified during emulation and collaborate with RTL, DV, firmware, and architecture teams.

· Support model compilation, build/debug flows, regression execution, waveform/debug analysis, and overall emulation infrastructure.

· Work cross-functionally to improve emulation stability, performance, and coverage ahead of silicon availability.

Preferred Skills

· Hands-on experience with Synopsys ZeBu or similar hardware emulation platforms. Strong understanding of RTL/SoC design and verification.

· Experience with SystemVerilog/Verilog, scripting (Python/Tcl/Shell), and debugging complex SoC environments.

· Experience supporting pre-silicon functional validation or software/firmware enablement is highly desirable.

· Knowledge of CPU architecture (e.g., x86)

· Experience with hybrid emulation and virtual platforms

Required Skills & Experience/Mandatory:

· VLSI hardware emulation (ZeBu or similar platforms)

· RTL/SoC design and verification experience

· System Verilog/Verilog, scripting (Python/Tcl/Shell

· Debugging complex SoC environments
