EHS Specialist

Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking an EHS Specialist for an Onsite position with a Major Pharmaceutical Company located in Riverside, PA. This is a 6+ month contract opportunity.
This role is responsible for performing site security patrols and responding to security events, automatic alarms, and requests for assistance. The specialist will serve as the Plant Fire Chief/Incident Commander in emergencies and must be familiar with fire prevention, Hazmat, rescue, and medical rescue protocols. Additional duties include investigating incidents, recordkeeping, and reporting.
Responsibilities:

• Perform site security patrols
• Respond to security events, automatic alarms, and requests for assistance throughout the site
• Serve as Plant Fire Chief/Incident Commander in case of emergency when the Command Center Manager is not present
• Must be familiar with the site and specific installations regarding fire prevention, Hazmat, rescue, and medical rescues
• Investigate incidents, perform recordkeeping, communications, reporting, and other document preparation
• Perform all assignments with limited supervision

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid PA Driver's license/CDL Preferred
• Pennsylvania Emergency Vehicle Operator Course or equivalent
• Incident Command Training with National Incident Management System (NIMS) 100, 700 minimum
• Familiarity with industrial level utility systems (air, steam, high voltage, etc.)
• Current CPR and First Aid certification
• Knowledge of suppression systems
• Ability to lift 40 lbs
• Fire protection experience within the past 8 years, including 5 years of active volunteer or paid experience in municipal fire protection, preferably as a Chief Officer

Desired skills:

• Current certification in PA State Firefighter I, Firefighter II
• Current PA State Fire Academy Hazmat Operations - Technician
• Confined Space Rescue Training, Pro Board Certification
• EMT Certification
• FM property conservation, OSHA Training General Industry and/or Construction

Schedule:

• This position follows a rotating schedule that includes days, nights, weekends, and holidays
• 4 Days on (5:30 am - 5:30 pm), 7 Days OFF
• 4 Nights on (5:30 pm - 5:30 am), 3 Days OFF
• 3 Days on (5:30 am - 5:30 pm), 1 Day OFF
• 3 Nights on (5:30 pm - 5:30 am), 3 Days OFF
• Cycle repeats

Pay range: up to $64.42 per hour
Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) employees will be considered for this position.
