Senior Façade Engineer Location:Bristol / Hybrid<br />Salary: Competitive, depending on experience<br />Job Type: Permanent The Opportunity We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Façade Engineer to join the façade engineering team of a leading multidisciplinary engineering consultancy.

This is a client-facing opportunity for a technically strong façade professional who is confident working across the full project lifecycle, from technical assessment and design through to site inspections, reporting and client liaison.

You will work on a diverse portfolio of complex buildings and developments, providing specialist façade engineering advice to clients, design teams, contractors and other project stakeholders. The Role As a Senior Façade Engineer, you will be responsible for:

Undertaking site visits, façade inspections and condition assessments, identifying defects, construction issues and potential risks.<br />Providing technical façade engineering advice across new-build, refurbishment and remediation projects.<br />Producing and reviewing technical reports, specifications, calculations and façade design information.<br />Acting as a key client-facing representative, developing strong relationships with clients and communicating technical findings clearly.<br />Working closely with architects, structural engineers, contractors and specialist façade subcontractors to develop practical and technically robust solutions.<br />Reviewing façade systems, details, materials and interfaces to ensure compliance with relevant standards and project requirements.<br />Supporting project delivery from concept and detailed design through to construction and completion.<br />Attending project meetings, design reviews and site meetings, providing technical input and resolving façade-related issues.<br />Mentoring and supporting junior engineers and contributing to the development of the wider façade team.

About You We are looking for a Senior Façade Engineer with:

Proven experience working within façade engineering, façade consultancy or building envelope engineering.<br />Strong technical understanding of façade systems, including curtain walling, rainscreen cladding, masonry, windows and other external envelope systems.<br />Experience undertaking site inspections and façade condition assessments.<br />Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to deal directly with clients and project stakeholders.<br />Experience producing technical reports, specifications and engineering documentation.<br />The ability to analyse façade defects and develop appropriate remedial or design solutions.<br />A commercially aware and professional approach to client relationships and project delivery.<br />Experience working collaboratively within multidisciplinary design teams.<br />Ideally, Chartered or working towards Chartered Engineer status.
