About the Job- We are looking for an experienced Azure Principal Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join one of our enterprise client engagements. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Azure SQL, Azure DevOps, Terraform Cloud, GitOps along with experience working in fast-paced enterprise environments.

Job Description

• We are seeking a highly experienced Lead / Principal Cloud Infrastructure Engineer at Level 4 to join our Infrastructure practice.
• This is a single senior individual contributor and technical leadership role.
• The ideal candidate brings deep, hands-on expertise across both AWS and Microsoft Azure — spanning IaaS and PaaS — combined with strong Infrastructure as Code (IaC) skills, solid OS-level knowledge across Windows Server and Linux, and the ability to lead enterprise-scale cloud delivery programs.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and deliver end-to-end enterprise cloud solutions on AWS and Azure, including hybrid and multi-cloud designs
• Own the IaC framework: design reusable Terraform module libraries, enforce coding standards, manage remote state, and implement policy-as-code
  Azure – PaaS
• Containers & Serverless: AKS (multi-cluster, KEDA, Flux GitOps, AGIC, Arc-enabled), Azure Container Instances, Azure Functions (Durable), Logic Apps Standard, Azure Container Apps
• API & Integration: API Management (policies, developer portal, versioning), Azure Service Bus, Event Hub (Kafka-compatible), Event Grid, Azure Data Factory (complex pipelines)
• Databases: Azure SQL (elastic pools, Hyperscale), Azure Database for PostgreSQL/MySQL (Flexible Server), Cosmos DB (multi-model, multi-region), Azure Cache for Redis, Azure SQL Managed Instance
• Analytics & Data: Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, Stream Analytics, Microsoft Purview (data governance)

• AI/ML PaaS: Azure OpenAI Service, Azure Machine Learning, Cognitive Services, Azure Bot Service, Azure Applied AI Services
• DevOps & Observability: Azure DevOps (Pipelines, Repos, Boards), Azure Monitor (workbooks, alerts, action groups), Log Analytics (KQL expertise), Application Insights, Azure Managed Grafana, Azure Automation
• Security: Microsoft Defender for Cloud (CSPM/CWPP), Microsoft Sentinel (SIEM/SOAR – analytics rules, playbooks), Azure Key Vault (Managed HSM), Azure Policy (initiatives, remediation tasks), Azure Blueprints
• Governance: Management Groups, Azure Landing Zones (enterprise-scale), Azure Cost Management + Billing, Azure Advisor

 

Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

• Terraform: advanced module design, Terraform Cloud/Enterprise (Sentinel policy-as-code, run tasks, drift detection, private module registry), remote state (S3/Azure Blob backend), workspace strategy
• Azure Bicep & ARM Templates: parameter files, template specs, deployment stacks, what-if analysis
• AWS CloudFormation / CDK: stacks, nested stacks, StackSets for multi-account deployments
• GitOps: Flux v2, ArgoCD for Kubernetes-based infrastructure delivery
• CI/CD for IaC: Azure DevOps Pipelines, GitHub Actions, Jenkins – including plan/apply gating, drift detection, and cost estimation (Infracost)
• DevSecOps in IaC: SAST (Checkov, tfsec), secrets scanning (Gitleaks, Trivy), container image scanning, OPA/Rego policy enforcement
• Lead cloud migration, modernization, and greenfield infrastructure delivery programs
• Define DevSecOps patterns integrating security scanning, secrets management, and compliance into IaC pipelines
• Drive FinOps practices including cost governance, tagging standards, right-sizing, and cloud spend optimization
• Manage OS-level configurations, hardening, and patching strategies for both Windows Server and Linux environments
• Perform root cause analysis for P1/P2 incidents and lead post-incident reviews and permanent fixes
• Engage directly with client stakeholders to gather requirements, present architecture recommendations, and drive decisions
• Coach and develop junior/mid-level engineers; contribute to practice capability building and knowledge sharing
• Support pre-sales activities including solution design, effort estimation, and technical proposal development
• Evaluate new cloud technologies and services and introduce them into the practice toolkit
