Technology Lead - Digital Workplace

About the Role

Reporting into the Service Delivery function, this role is responsible for leading endpoint engineering, workplace technologies, lifecycle management and continual improvement initiatives, ensuring secure, reliable and user focused digital workplace services.

• Lead and coordinate the Digital Workplace team, setting priorities, providing technical guidance and supporting the successful delivery of operational and project outcomes.
• Own endpoint engineering and lifecycle management across Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, Microsoft Entra ID, operating systems, applications, virtual desktops and associated workplace technologies.
• Develop and maintain Digital Workplace roadmaps, lifecycle plans, engineering standards and continual improvement initiatives aligned to business and technology priorities.
• Drive service reliability, security compliance and governance through well managed endpoint standards, monitoring, documentation and change management practices.
• Lead software asset management activities, including licensing, application lifecycle management, renewals, compliance and optimisation opportunities.
• Identify and deliver automation, AI and emerging technology initiatives that enhance employee experience, operational efficiency and service quality.
• Provide technical leadership and assurance across projects, major changes and new technology implementations, ensuring solutions are secure, supportable and fit for purpose.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders, vendors and internal teams to support effective planning, delivery, budgeting and ongoing operational success.

About You

• Demonstrated experience leading technical teams within a complex enterprise technology environment.
• Strong expertise across Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, Endpoint Analytics, Microsoft Entra ID and Windows endpoint management, security and lifecycle practices.
• Proven experience managing enterprise application packaging, deployment, software asset management, licensing compliance and application governance.
• Strong understanding of AI, Generative AI, automation and intelligent technologies, including their opportunities, risks and governance requirements.
• Experience developing technology roadmaps, lifecycle plans, engineering standards and business focused investment recommendations.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and build trusted stakeholder relationships.
• A collaborative and accountable leader who demonstrates sound judgement, ownership and resilience when managing competing priorities and operational challenges.
• Passionate about developing others through coaching, knowledge sharing, constructive feedback and capability building.
• Strong strategic thinking and problem solving skills, using data driven insights to balance security, operational and employee experience outcomes.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications or industry certifications in Information Technology, Microsoft technologies, endpoint management or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
