Job Description

At Phillips Law, we defend people when everything is on the line.
The clients we serve are not planning for the future. They are facing charges, investigations, warrants, or life-altering allegations. They are scared. Their families are overwhelmed. Their freedom, reputation, career, and future are at risk.

We exist to stand between clients and the power of the State.

We are seeking a disciplined, emotionally intelligent professional who can sit across from individuals and families during some of the most stressful moments of their lives — and guide them toward decisive action.

This is not transactional sales.
This is crisis leadership with accountability.

You must be able to manage urgency without creating panic. You must be able to project confidence without arrogance. You must be able to help people move forward when fear is clouding their judgment.

This is a performance-based role.
We track metrics.
We expect professionalism.
We expect growth.

Compensation

High performers in this role realistically earn $60,000–$125,000 annually. $60,000 Base with Performance Bonus Up to $125,000.

Required Application Exercise — The Cost of Waiting
As part of your application, you must submit a short written story in a cover letter about an individual who delayed hiring a criminal defense attorney — and the consequences that followed.
You may base this on a real situation (without identifying details) or create a fictional client (recommended).
Write this in narrative format (not bullet points).
Your story should include:
1. Who They Were
Stage of life

Career or background

Family situation

2. The Assumptions They Made
What they believed about their case

Why they delayed securing counsel

3. What Happened
The triggering event (arrest, indictment, warrant, missed deadline, police interview, etc.)

4. The Impact
Describe consequences such as:
Additional charges

Lost leverage in negotiations

Jail time that might have been avoided

Financial strain

Damage to reputation or career

Emotional toll on family

Outcomes that early legal representation could have prevented
