Principal / Associate Mechanical Engineer Near Cambridge £65,000 – £80,000 + Benefits Are you an experienced Mechanical Engineer looking to take the next step in your career with a well-established consultancy where your expertise will genuinely make an impact?

The Role As a Principal or Associate Mechanical Engineer, you'll lead the design and delivery of a diverse range of projects across residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments. You'll work closely with clients, architects, and fellow engineers while helping to shape the technical direction of projects from concept through to completion.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys mentoring others, taking ownership, and being a key contributor to both project delivery and the wider business.

Responsibilities Lead the mechanical design and delivery of projects across residential, commercial, and mixed-use sectors.<br />Manage projects through all RIBA stages.<br />Build and maintain strong client relationships.<br />Mentor and support junior engineers, helping to develop the next generation of talent.<br />Review and oversee technical designs to ensure quality and compliance.<br />Collaborate with the wider leadership team and contribute to the ongoing growth of the business.<br />Attend client and design team meetings and provide technical leadership throughout project delivery.About You Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.<br />Significant experience within a building services consultancy environment.<br />Experience delivering residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects.<br />Strong technical knowledge of UK building regulations and industry standards.<br />Excellent communication and leadership skills.<br />Chartered status or working towards Chartership is desirable.<br />Passionate about mentoring junior engineers and contributing to a collaborative team environment.What's on Offer The opportunity to join a highly respected consultancy with over 50 years of industry success.<br />A genuine leadership role within a close-knit, supportive team.<br />Varied and interesting projects across multiple sectors.<br />Clear opportunity to influence the direction and future growth of the business.<br />Flexible working and a competitive benefits package.
