About Mariana Minerals

Mariana Minerals is a software-first, vertically integrated minerals company on a mission to supply the critical minerals powering modern energy, AI, and defense technologies. We’re reimagining the minerals supply chain by combining deep industry expertise with advanced software, automation, and data-driven decision-making.

The Process Maintenance Technician is a hands-on role responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining fixed plant equipment and process systems that support Lisbon Valley’s crushing and heap leach operations. Equipment may include crushers, conveyors, pumps, piping, valves, motors, solution-handling systems, and other processing infrastructure.

The ideal candidate brings strong mechanical troubleshooting skills, experience maintaining mining or industrial process equipment, and a strong commitment to safety. This role supports production by reducing downtime, improving equipment reliability, maintaining system integrity, and helping ensure safe and efficient plant operation.

Required Qualifications:

  • Perform diagnostics, maintenance, installation, and repair of fixed plant equipment and associated systems, including pumps, compressors, boilers, fans, and valves.

  • Perform diagnostics, installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of fixed plant equipment, including pumps, motors, gearboxes, compressors, boilers, fans, valves, and associated process systems.

  • Perform equipment rebuilds, component replacement, lubrication, inspections, adjustments, oil sampling, and other preventive and condition-based maintenance activities.

  • Complete welding and fabrication as needed and safely operate forklifts, overhead cranes, boom trucks, and other material-handling equipment.

  • Read and interpret service manuals, parts manuals, schematics, and technical documentation to support accurate troubleshooting and repairs.

  • Perform fixed plant, mining, industrial, or heavy manufacturing maintenance, including troubleshooting and repair of hydraulic systems and mechanical equipment.

  • Maintain accurate work orders and maintenance records, coordinate effectively with operations and support teams, and perform all work in accordance with MSHA regulations, company procedures, and PPE requirements.

Working Environment and Schedule:

  • Schedule: 7 days on / 7 days off, working 12-hour shifts. As operations expand, employees may rotate between day and night shifts and must be available for on-call coverage as needed.

  • Housing & Relocation: Housing and relocation assistance options are available.

  • Work Environment: Approximately 70% field-based and 30% office-based work, including work in active mining areas, rugged terrain, and outdoor conditions.

  • Ability to walk long distances over rough or uneven terrain, climb ladders and structures, and lift a minimum of 50 pounds.

  • Ability to work safely in all weather conditions, including extreme temperatures, and in environments with potential exposure to dust, fumes, diesel exhaust, solvents, sulfuric acid, and other hazardous materials.

  • Must wear and properly use all required PPE, including hard hat, steel-toed footwear, safety glasses, high-visibility vest, hearing protection, respirator when required, and protective clothing.
