The Role

• Provide essential support to key Submarine Ship Building (SHAPM) Program Offices, including COLUMBIA Class, VIRGINIA Class, and the Future Attack Submarine (SSN(X)) Program Offices.
• Assist with the Marine Engineering Competency Domain, contributing to the overall strategic submarine acquisition and maintenance landscape.
• Apply scientific and mathematical principles to develop innovative and efficient technical solutions.
• Engage in the design, implementation, and improvement of systems and products, with a focus on performance and technological advancement.
• Analyze the environmental and user impact of developed products and systems.
• Contribute to quality control through testing and production support, and assist in project time and cost estimation.

What You'll Need

• Master's degree in any technical or engineering discipline.
• 7 years of professional engineering experience (desired).
• 7+ years of experience in the design, test, qualification, and production of naval shipboard electrical and/or propulsion equipment (desired).
• Knowledge and experience with Submarines and/or the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program (desired).
• Experience with large electrical machines and/or power electronics (desired).
• Must be a U.S. citizen and possess a Secret security clearance.
