About Us: Network Squad is a leading Managed Service Provider (MSP) dedicated to delivering innovative IT solutions. We are looking for highly skilled People to join our dynamic team immediately.
Job description: We are seeking an ELV/Field Installation Engineer to assist with the execution and completion of all installation and related tasks. Must have their own van and tools (including hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments).
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership: Lead small installation teams, allocate tasks, and ensure work meets project timelines and standards.
- Advanced Installation: Execute complete structured cabling setups, including patch panel termination, labeling, and rack organization.
- Device Configuration & Mounting: Install and configure network devices such as switches, APs, CCTV systems, and NVRs according to design documentation.
- Testing & Validation: Perform full cable certification tests, identify and resolve network or device connectivity issues.
- Site Coordination: Liaise with project managers and clients to confirm installation details, changes, and completion milestones.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct quality checks on terminations, labeling, and mounting work; ensure neatness and compliance.
- Asset Management: Ensure all completed work is accurately recorded in the Asset Management System, including device IDs, cable routes, and test results.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce safe working practices and ensure adherence to company and site regulations.
- Mentoring: Train and guide FE-L1 and FE-L2 engineers in technical skills and safety practices.
- Ability to wire between components and identify with wire numbers/idents, including: 3-phase, LV power, ELV control, PLC wiring, and communication bus wiring.
- Other Duties: Carry out any other related tasks required to complete installations effectively.

- Are you a British national, or do you have the right to work (RTW) in the UK?
- Are you self-employed or do you have your own company?
- Have you worked with infrastructure tasks such as patch panels, fiber splicing, or CCTV installation?
- Do you have experience installing and commissioning network cabling, WiFi access points, and CCTV systems in commercial environments?
- Do you have experience pulling and terminating fiber optic and copper cabling (Cat5e/Cat6/Cat6a)?
- Are you comfortable working at heights (e.g., replacing WiFi access points)?
