Software Engineer Linux

Job Purpose:

We want smart people to join our close knit Linux development team. A genuine interest in product development is key as everyones contribution counts in our informal and open Agile working environment.

Principle duties:

• Development and maintenance of Linux based operating systems

• Work on Linux Distros with a focus on security

• Configure and customize components of the operating system

• Meet requirements and provide the best possible customer experience

• Deliver a product to the highest level of quality and functionality

Essential Skills:

Essential

• Ubuntu operating system
• C programming
• TCP/IP network configuration, security and components
• PKI certificate and key management
• Debian package management
• Bash scripting
• Object oriented programming in C++
• A degree in STEM or significant programming experience

Desirable

• Python programming
• Linux kernel programming
• Open source development
• Security infrastructure
