Test Engineer

Location: Remote- Working CST Hours

Role Overview

The candidate will be responsible for designing, testing, and maintaining automated tests for our client's services. This role involves leading efforts in drafting test scenarios, collaborating with various teams to triage bugs, and monitoring test pipelines to ensure quality and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, test, and maintain automated tests for client services.
• Lead efforts in drafting test scenarios and writing tests to cover functional use cases for each feature.
• Collaborate with teams across client services to triage bugs and investigate failures in various environments.
• Monitor and maintain test pipelines, and use observability tools and test logs to identify and fix failures.
• Communicate bugs and proactively initiate discussions to aid issue discovery and resolution.
• Leverage AI tools to enhance the development workflow and improve delivery velocity.

Required Qualifications

• Proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript, with experience using test runners such as Mocha.
• Experience with UI test automation frameworks, including Playwright.
• Experience testing MQTT or similar Pub/Sub interfaces such as WebSockets or SSE.
• Experience testing GraphQL APIs, including writing and maintaining tests for complex queries.
• Working knowledge of cloud environments and containerized deployments, including Docker images and container registries.
• Working knowledge of Git and Git-based workflows, including CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
• Experience analyzing and correlating application and service logs across multiple services.
• Experience using Jira or similar tools for task and issue tracking.
• Familiarity with Android test automation using frameworks such as Appium.
• Looking for 5+ years of true GraphQL and Event Drive Architecture experience
