Senior Vice President, Delivery Practitioner

We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Vice President, Delivery Practitioner to join our team. This role is located in London or Manchester.

Role purpose

The Senior Vice President, Delivery Practitioner is a senior transformation leader responsible for shaping and advancing BNY’s most complex, ambiguous and commercially significant priorities. The role goes beyond programme execution: it defines problems, creates strategic clarity, develops commercially and operationally viable solutions, and mobilizes cross-functional teams to deliver measurable client and enterprise outcomes. The successful candidate will combine the problem-solving rigour with strong commercial judgement, product and service development awareness, and disciplined execution in a complex, regulated institution.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways: 

• Lead the framing of enterprise-level challenges, converting broad questions and competing perspectives into a clear problem statement, strategic choices, decision criteria and executable path forward.

• Own complex initiatives from early concept through validation, design, mobilization and implementation, ensuring the work remains anchored to client value, commercial and market driven outcomes and BNY’s strategic priorities.

• Provide senior commercial judgement across topics such as proposition development, solution incubation, pricing, contracting, revenue opportunity, cost-to-serve, operating model design, scalability and route to market.

• Identify, test and nourish high-potential ideas, bringing together client insight, market context, internal capabilities and economics to help determine which ideas should progress and how they can become built client solutions.

• Direct rigorous qualitative and quantitative analysis, ensuring conclusions are evidence-based and translated into clear recommendations, business cases, roadmaps and measurable success outcomes.

• Create and communicate compelling executive narratives for senior leadership, governance forums and cross-business stakeholders, making complex issues understandable and decision-ready.

• Orchestrate diverse teams across business, product, operations, technology, finance, risk and legal, aligning objectives, accountabilities, dependencies and incentives without relying on formal authority.

• Design fit-for-purpose governance and delivery approaches that provide pace, transparency and control while avoiding unnecessary process or programme bureaucracy.

• Anticipate and navigate commercial, operational, regulatory and execution risks, engaging control partners early and finding pragmatic solutions that preserve the intent of the opportunity.

• Coach colleagues in structured problem solving, commercial thinking, executive communication and outcome-led delivery, raising the standard of work across the Enterprise Transformation Hub.

• Build reusable intellectual capital, frameworks and ways of working that improve how BNY evaluates opportunities, develops solutions and executes enterprise transformation.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following: 

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required; an advanced degree is advantageous but not essential.

• Relevant experience, including substantial experience in management and delivery consulting, commercial transformation, product or service development, business design, or enterprise change.

• Proven track record of leading high-stakes, ambiguous work from insight and recommendation through mobilization and implementation, with measurable business or client outcomes.

• Underpin transformation experience with strong commercial and financial acumen, with the ability to understand how client needs, proposition design, pricing, contracts, economics and operating capabilities connect.

• Exceptional structured problem-solving skills and the ability to identify the critical questions, direct analysis and form an independent point of view.

• Strong commercial and financial acumen, with the ability to understand how client needs, proposition design, pricing, contracts, economics and operating capabilities connect.

• Executive-level communication, influencing and facilitation skills, with the credibility to engage, advise and challenge senior stakeholders.

• Demonstrated ability to lead through influence, build coalitions across organizational boundaries and create momentum in complex environments.

• Experience in financial services or another complex, regulated, business-to-business environment is strongly preferred.

• Delivery, programme, Agile, Lean or process-improvement expertise is valuable as part of a broader transformation toolkit; formal certification is not essential.
