Job Description About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded professional to join our team as Business Development Manager -Wholesale & Secured Business Lending.

In this role, you will be responsible for driving growth across Resimac's wholesale and private credit channels, managing strategic partner relationships, and supporting the continued expansion of our Secured Business Lending (SBL) portfolio. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to structure and deliver lending solutions, contribute to product development and pricing initiatives, and ensure exceptional outcomes for our partners and customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, manage and grow relationships with wholesale partners, introducers and key stakeholders.
  • Provide ongoing support, training and guidance on Resimac's lending products, policies and processes.
  • Drive portfolio growth and achieve agreed settlement, profitability, net interest margin (NIM) and partner performance targets.
  • Monitor competitor activity, market trends and customer needs, providing recommendations to strengthen Resimac's market position and product competitiveness.
Lending & Deal Structuring
  • Facilitate the structuring and approval of lending opportunities for wholesale and strategic partners.
  • Workshop lending scenarios and manage exceptions through the approval process with internal stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and obtain approvals from Credit, Treasury, Product, Risk and other relevant teams.
  • Issue and negotiate term sheets and support transactions through to settlement.
  • Review lending structures and documentation in accordance with delegated authorities and company policies.
  • Support portfolio management activities including annual reviews, variations, extensions, redraws, arrears management, pricing reviews and general loan administration.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of commercial, business and consumer credit risk.
  • Ensure lending decisions and portfolio management activities align with Resimac's risk appetite and credit framework.
  • Stay current with lending policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
Product Development & Business Improvement
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of Resimac's secured lending and private credit product offerings.
  • Provide insights and recommendations on product design, pricing and distribution strategies.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for automation, digitisation and process improvement.
  • Develop and enhance operational procedures that support scalability, efficiency and customer experience.
  • Collaborate effectively with stakeholders across Credit, Product, Treasury, Legal, Operations, Compliance and Risk functions.
  • Contribute to the successful execution of Resimac's wholesale and secured lending strategy.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring and support to team members where required.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.
About You

You are a proactive and commercially driven lending professional with strong relationship management skills and a passion for delivering customer-centric lending solutions.

Knowledge & Skills
  • Strong understanding of secured business lending, private credit, wholesale lending and/or mortgage lending.
  • Sound knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations including:
    • National Consumer Credit Protection (NCCP) Act
    • Personal Property Securities Register (PPSR)
    • Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing (AML/CTF) requirements
    • Privacy Act obligations
  • Strong understanding of credit risk across both business and consumer lending products.
  • Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building capabilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams.
Experience
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar lending, private credit, commercial lending, business banking, mortgage or wholesale lending role.
  • Proven experience managing lending transactions, partner relationships and stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong understanding of credit assessment and structured lending solutions.
  • Experience navigating complex approval processes and coordinating multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into effective business practices.
  • Track record of achieving business growth objectives while maintaining strong risk and governance standards.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience within the finance, lending, banking or private credit industry.
