Manufacturing Operator

Overview

We are hiring Manufacturing Operators to join a new grinding department at our Rogers manufacturing facility.

In this role, you will set up and operate an automated grinding line, including grinding equipment, robotic infeed, and chamfer cells. You will process parts, monitor equipment, measure finished components, and make adjustments to keep production within specification.

Previous centerless grinding experience is not required. We are looking for candidates with a solid manufacturing background, good mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to learn new equipment and processes.

Compensation

• $21 / hr
• $20 / hr base + $1 / hr shift differential

Shift

• Monday - Friday
• 11:00pm - 7:30am

Responsibilities

• Grinding Line Setup & Operation: Set up, operate, and monitor centerless grinders, robotic infeed equipment, and automated chamfer cells. Complete changeovers and verify equipment is running correctly before production.
• Quality & Inspection: Measure raw materials and finished parts, perform in-process audits, read blueprints, and ensure components remain within required specifications.
• Troubleshooting & Adjustments: Monitor equipment performance, make necessary machine or process adjustments, and resolve moderate mechanical or production issues to maintain quality and output.
• Documentation & Material Control: Separate nonconforming product, document scrap and production results, and enter required information into the MII reporting system.
• Maintenance & Safety: Complete routine equipment checks, basic maintenance, housekeeping, and all required safety procedures while communicating issues with leads and supervisors.

Qualifications

Required

• Work Authorization: Due to the nature of operations at this facility, candidates must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident.
• Manufacturing Experience: 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, production, machining, or a similar industrial environment.
• Mechanical Aptitude & Attention to Detail: Comfortable learning equipment, following procedures, inspecting parts, and making basic process or equipment adjustments.
• Education: High School Diploma or GED.

Preferred

• Machine Operation: Experience with CNC machines, grinders, presses, automated production equipment, or similar machinery.
• Quality & Blueprint Experience: Familiarity with measuring tools, dimensional inspection, blueprints, or manufacturing specifications.
• Troubleshooting: Experience identifying and resolving basic machine, tooling, or production-process issues.
