The Copthorne Hotel Aberdeen is looking for a Casual Night Porter/Casual Food & Beverage Assistant, to provide porterage, lounge and room service for guests, room set up and security of the Hotel throughout the night as well as some Food & Beverage Assistant shifts in the Restaurant and/or Bar.

As Night Porter key responsibilities include:

·         Providing a friendly and efficient service to guests at all times ensuring company policy and procedures are complied with at all times

·         Assuming Night Auditor tasks, as required, when the Night Manager is dealing with priorities on shift

·         Arranging collection, delivery and storage of guest luggage, maintaining the cleanliness of public areas during the night

·         Providing general security in the Hotel and carrying security back up procedures, as requested and informing the Night Manager of issues to ensure that they are dealt with effectively

·         Cashing up procedures

·         Following the check in and check out policy procedures for guests arriving late or departing early

·         Answering the phone during the night, collecting breakfast orders and providing lounge and room service, charging as appropriate to guest accounts

·         Ensuring the restaurant is set up and prepared for Breakfast

As Food & Beverage Assistant key responsibilities include:

·         The service of food & beverage products in the bar and restaurant area.

·         To be able to understand and communicate effectively the menu and all products available to customers.

·         Deal with all payment transactions (Cash, card and room charging) in the correct manner according to company guidelines.

·         To provide a warm and welcoming service at all touch points with the guests ensuring that all queries or requirements are dealt with accordingly.

What we are looking for:

·         Previous experience in a quality hotel

·         Experience of Night/Restaurant shift

·         Excellent communications skills

·         The ability to work well under pressure with a positive, ‘can do’ attitude

·         Excellent customer service skills

·         Experience of using a Front Office Management system, e.g., Opera Cloud

·         Ability to work flexibly, including weekend and Christmas Party shifts.
