AWS DevOps Engineer

Overview

Nuage is partnered with a leading technology business. We are looking for an AWS / DevOps Engineer to join a high performing engineering team delivering cloud infrastructure, automation and CI/CD improvements across a modern AWS environment. This role is Sydney CBD (Hybrid - 2 days onsite) on a 6-month contract, and offers up to $850 per day.

Responsibilities

• Designing and maintaining AWS infrastructure using Terraform
• Building and improving CI/CD pipelines across multiple environments
• Implementing monitoring, logging and alerting solutions
• Driving cloud security, governance and infrastructure as code best practices
• Supporting automated and manual testing environments
• Integrating testing frameworks into deployment pipelines
• Troubleshooting environment and deployment issues
• Collaborating with engineering, QA and security teams to improve platform reliability and delivery speed

Qualifications

• Strong AWS and DevOps engineering experience
• Commercial experience with Terraform
• Scripting experience in Python, Bash or PowerShell
• Experience with GitHub Actions and/or GitLab CI
• Exposure to HashiCorp Sentinel or Policy as Code frameworks
• Experience supporting automated testing within CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of ECS, EKS and/or Kubernetes
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
