Locum Pharmacist - Bank Register (Responsible Pharmacist)

Klira is a GPhC-registered, private distance-selling pharmacy specialising in dermatology. We prepare unlicensed topical medicines on-site under the section 10 exemption and supply them to patients nationwide against private prescriptions. We're building a bank of locum pharmacists to cover planned and short-notice shifts, and we'd like to hear from pharmacists based in London who want regular, well-supported work in a specialist setting.

The role

You'll take on the Responsible Pharmacist role for the shift and work alongside our in-house pharmacists and a small, experienced team of compounders, dispensing and dispatch staff. Your duties are likely to include:

• Acting as Responsible Pharmacist, including signing in, maintaining the RP record and ensuring the pharmacy operates safely and in line with our SOPs
• Clinically screening private prescriptions for topical dermatology medicines
• Carrying out pharmacist checks within our preparation and supply process, as trained
• Supporting the team with queries and escalating issues through our clinical governance processes
• Dispensing, accuracy checking and dispatching compounded products

This isn't a typical community pharmacy locum. There's no walk-in counter or retail footfall; it's a focused, process-driven environment where accuracy and good judgement matter.

• Registration as a pharmacist with the GPhC, with no conditions on your practice
• Confidence acting as Responsible Pharmacist
• Your own professional indemnity insurance
• The right to work in the UK
• Strong attention to detail and a willingness to follow controlled procedures closely
• Interest in, or experience of, dermatology, aseptic or non-sterile preparation, or distance-selling pharmacy is welcome but not essential. Full training is provided.
