Your focus won't just be fixing things when they break. You'll be finding the weak spots before they cause problems, streamlining day-to-day operations through automation, and playing a real part in how our cloud services evolve. If you get a buzz from tackling tricky technical challenges and want to work on dependable, large-scale cloud infrastructure, this could be the role for you. Your responsibilities Keeping a close eye on business-critical AWS production environments and ensuring they stay up and performing well<br />Taking ownership of live incidents within a round-the-clock service and seeing them through to resolution<br />Digging into difficult technical problems and getting services back online with speed and precision<br />Writing automation that removes repetitive manual work and makes the platform more robust<br />Enhancing the monitoring, alerting and observability tooling used across our cloud estate<br />Partnering with software, platform, cloud and security teams to raise the bar on reliability and operational standards<br />Taking part in incident retrospectives and turning lessons learned into lasting improvements<br />Looking after containerised applications running on Terraform and DockerWhat you'll bring Ideally, you'll come from a background in production engineering, cloud operations or a network operations centre, with hands-on experience in some or all of the following: Administering Linux systems<br />Working with AWS infrastructure<br />Running workloads on Terraform and Docker<br />Supporting live production systems and handling incidents<br />Scripting in Python, Bash or Go<br />Using observability and monitoring tools like Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, Splunk or CloudWatch<br />A solid grasp of core networking concepts, including DNS, TCP/IP and load balancing<br />A genuine drive to automate, improve and deliver operational excellence
