Job Description

HUMAN RESOURCES & SAFETY MANAGER - ANAHEIM, CA
As a member of Eurest's leadership and professional support team, you will help our 16,000 chefs, and in-unit associates excel as they deliver world-class meals in corporate cafes and executive dining rooms with on-site catering through vending innovations and more. Our teammates are enthusiastic, committed to quality and thrive on consistently delivering unparalleled results. This position is eligible for an Employee Referral Bonus! For Employee Referral guidelines, FAQs and the Compass Employee Referral Policy, email MyReferral@compass-usa.com.

Are you an HR professional who loves the energy of hospitality and the dynamic pace of food & beverage operations? We're looking for an engaged, emotionally intelligent Human Resources & Safety Manager to be the trusted people-partner for a sizeable, newly launched corporate dining portfolio. Our HR & Safety Manager will support two client portfolios, one based in Anaheim (3 days on site), and the other in Costa Mesa (2 days on site). This is a fully on-site role where you'll be visible, accessible, and genuinely embedded with our operations team and our hourly, unionized workforce.

Your presence, partnership, and expertise extend far beyond the office walls. If you thrive on building strong relationships, navigating union partnerships with confidence, and bringing structure and care to a growing new business, we want to hear from you. As our Human Resources & Safety Manager, you'll own the full HR function for this operation — recommending, developing, and administering policies and programs that support our people every step of the way.

Administer HR policies and programs spanning recruitment, separation, employee relations, disability and leave management, benefits, classification, compensation, performance management, and training
Serve as our subject matter expert on labor relations and our union partnership, with full oversight of union agreement administration
Lead staff recruitment and separations, including mass hiring initiatives to support this growing new business
Coach and counsel department managers and supervisors on employee relations best practices, policies, and procedures
Guide supervisors and managers on job description development, benefits communication, compensation programs, and personnel policies
Own the performance management process, including counseling managers through annual performance reviews
Manage sensitive, confidential information with discretion while collaboratively partnering across client groups
Manages the resolution process of safety and health issues as they arise by use of analysis, benchmarking, risk management and regulatory compliance
Maintains injury record keeping in accordance with local, state and federal regulation
Performs claims management investigation review for injured associates
Bachelor's degree in HR or a related field required; hospitality industry HR experience strongly preferred
Bilingual fluency (Spanish)
3+ years of senior level HR generalist experience required; management experience a plus
Hands-on experience working with a unionized workforce is a must
Strong working knowledge of HR policies, employment practices, salary administration, and training
This is a chance to build something from the ground up, with Eurest
— shaping the people strategy for new teams, while being a true partner to the operations leaders and hourly associates who bring our hospitality to life every day.

If you're energized by variety, relationship-building, and making a visible impact, this is the role for you. Apply today and bring your HR expertise to a team that values exceptional people as much as exceptional cuisine! Eurest is a member of Compass Group USA
