Contract Network Engineer

Network Engineer – £450 - £550 Per Day – Oxford (Hybrid) – 6 Months Overview:<br />We are currently searching for an experienced Network &amp; Systems Engineer to join a leading technology organisation on a hybrid basis in Oxford. The role will focus primarily on enterprise networking across campus, data centre and multi-cloud environments, while also providing broader systems administration support when required. Role &amp;

Responsibilities:

Support and maintain enterprise LAN/WLAN, routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, DNS, DHCP and IPAM environments.<br />Manage and troubleshoot firewalls, cloud networking and connectivity across AWS and GCP.<br />Monitor network performance and availability, taking ownership of incidents through to resolution.<br />Support systems administration tasks including account provisioning, server patching, storage and backup troubleshooting.<br />Maintain network security through configuration reviews, policy enforcement and best practice.<br />Support network design reviews and the transition of new infrastructure into production.<br />Maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, SOPs and operational runbooks.Technical

Requirements:

5+ years’ experience within enterprise network operations and troubleshooting.<br />Strong experience with LAN/WLAN, routing, switching, VLANs, DNS and DHCP.<br />Knowledge of networking protocols including BGP, VRRP/HSRP, TCP/UDP and LACP.<br />Strong troubleshooting skills, including packet capture and network diagnostic tools.<br />Experience with AWS and/or GCP networking.<br />Experience with Arista EOS / CloudVision or similar networking platforms would be highly advantageous.<br />Knowledge of Palo Alto firewalls, 802.1x, RADIUS and Zero Trust environments would be beneficial.<br />Exposure to Terraform, Ansible, Git, LogicMonitor, Grafana or Prometheus would be advantageous.<br />Experience with AWS Direct Connect or GCP Interconnect would be beneficial.<br />Comfortable providing wider Windows/Linux systems administration support when required.Role &amp; Package: £450 - £550 Per Day<br />6 Months (Likely Extensions)<br />Oxford (Hybrid)Network Engineer – £450 - £550 Per Day – Oxford (Hybrid) – 6 Months
