Devops Engineer (W2 only)

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure & Platform Engineering

• Lead the design, deployment, and management of Linux-based infrastructure in production and non-production environments.
• Manage and optimize cloud and on-premises infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
• Build scalable, resilient, and secure platform solutions supporting enterprise applications and services.
• Develop standards, best practices, and operational procedures for infrastructure management.

Linux & Network Operations

• Act as the primary escalation point for complex Linux and network-related incidents.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting across operating systems, networking layers, application stacks, and distributed systems.
• Analyze and resolve issues related to:
• TCP/IP
• DNS
• DHCP
• Load Balancers
• Firewalls
• Routing and Switching
• SMTP/IMAP/POP3 protocols
• SSL/TLS and Certificate Management
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive actions to improve system reliability.

Automation & Configuration Management

• Design and maintain automation frameworks using:
• Ansible
• AWX/Ansible Tower
• Terraform
• Develop reusable infrastructure modules and deployment templates.
• Automate provisioning, configuration management, system patching, compliance enforcement, and operational workflows.
• Drive infrastructure standardization and eliminate manual operational tasks through automation.

CI/CD & Release Engineering

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-grade CI/CD pipelines.
• Build automated deployment workflows using:
• GitHub Actions
• Concourse CI
• Integrate quality gates, security scans, automated testing, and deployment validations into CI/CD processes.
• Improve release velocity while ensuring stability and compliance.

Scripting & Tools Development

• Develop automation solutions and operational utilities using:
• Python
• Bash Shell Scripting
• Create monitoring, reporting, deployment, and troubleshooting scripts.
• Build self-service automation capabilities for engineering and operations teams.

Database Administration & Support

• Support and troubleshoot database environments including:
• MySQL
• PostgreSQL
• Assist with database performance analysis, backup/recovery validation, and operational support.
• Collaborate with application teams to optimize database performance and reliability.

Technical Expertise

• 8+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Infrastructure Engineering, or Platform Engineering.
• Strong expertise in Linux administration (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS, or equivalent).
• Advanced troubleshooting skills across Linux operating systems and network infrastructure.
• Expert-level knowledge of:
• Ansible
• AWX / Ansible Tower
• Terraform
• Strong experience with:
• GitHub Actions
• Concourse CI
• Proficiency in:
• Bash Scripting
• Python Development
• Experience managing:
• MySQL
• PostgreSQL
• Strong understanding of:
• Git
• Jira
• Confluence
• Deep understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
