Link Technologies (LinkTechConsulting.com), a Las Vegas-based IT consulting firm, is currently seeking a Developer/Programmer Analyst 3 to join our team. This position will be hybrid with 1 day per week required on site.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 8+ years of experience in the following areas:
  - Experience developing, testing, maintaining, and troubleshooting SAS, Python, R, or other similar programming language scripts
  - Experience with system integration, dashboard creation, and automation for improved interoperability workflows
  - Experience working with structured or semi structured health, public health, or other complex administrative data and knowledge of databases and database querying.
  - Ability to develop reports that documents system requirements to identify programmatic and business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
  - Experience testing and validating automated data-integration solutions.
  - Ability to document code and technical specifications for improved workflows and procedures
  - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and nontechnical staff, and ability to work collaboratively with other staff
PREFERRED
- 2+ years of experience in the following areas:
  - Experience with electronic case reporting (eCR/eICR), electronic health records or health information exchange, healthcare interoperability standards such as HL7, XML, or FHIR, SNOMED CT or other clinical terminology standards
  - Experience with SQL and relational databases, public health surveillance systems or registries, data linkage and matching, and development of automated data pipelines or ETL processes.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Interoperability Needs Assessment: Conduct a needs assessment to evaluate and identify necessary steps to ingest eICRs and auto-populate select data fields. Maintain clear documentation of programming scripts, workflows, validation procedures, developed solutions, and other integration specific information to support sustainability and future maintenance. Develop a repot/system requirements document describing functions and workflows needed for interoperability.
- Dashboard and System Integration: Develop, test, document, and maintain SAS, Python, R (or other statistical software) programs for multiple branch processes, including building dashboards. Programs will automate and integrate relevant data from eCIRS to expedite branch processes such as but not limited to: triaging cases for clinical review and/or automating data ingestion.
- Testing and Validation: Test and validate automated workflow processes, standardization, linkage, and processing methods to assess accuracy, completeness, and reliability of SAS, R, and Python (or other statistical software) programs. Troubleshoot identified issues and refine programming solutions accordingly.
- Data Interoperability Automation and Registry Modernization: Support efforts to incorporate electronic health data into existing workflows and assist with needs assessment and planning related to eICR integration and other interoperability initiatives.
- Technical Requirements and Recommendations: Collaborate with technical partners to identify data and system requirements, document technical processes, identify potential limitations, and develop recommendations for future interoperability projects.
