The Role

We are seeking an experienced Application Specialist to join a high-performing delivery and business applications team.

This is a hands-on role focused on configuring, optimising, and supporting enterprise applications to meet evolving business needs. You will play a key role in translating requirements into configured solutions, providing platform expertise, validating outcomes, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate will bring strong application configuration experience, excellent stakeholder engagement skills, and a proven track record of delivering business-focused solutions across enterprise platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure and optimise application capabilities to support business requirements and operational objectives.
• Analyse business processes and requirements to identify application configuration opportunities.
• Provide subject matter expertise on platform functionality, capabilities, constraints, and best practices.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and delivery teams to design and implement application solutions.
• Support solution demonstrations, walkthroughs, and stakeholder engagement activities.
• Participate in testing, validation, and quality assurance activities to ensure configured solutions meet requirements.
• Assist with troubleshooting, issue investigation, and resolution across application environments.
• Support ongoing platform enhancements, configuration changes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain application configuration documentation, process guides, and support materials.
• Provide advice and recommendations on platform capabilities and optimisation opportunities.
• Work closely with project and support teams to ensure successful solution delivery and adoption.
• Contribute to release, deployment, and change management activities where required.
• Support end-users and stakeholders through issue resolution and platform improvement initiatives.

What You'll Need

• Experience as an Application Consultant, Functional Consultant, Application Analyst, Systems Analyst, or similar role.
• Strong experience with application configuration and business application support.
• Proven ability to translate business requirements into effective configured solutions.
• Strong functional analysis and requirements interpretation skills.
• Experience providing platform expertise and stakeholder guidance on system capabilities and limitations.
• Experience supporting testing, solution validation, and business acceptance activities.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and issue resolution capabilities.
• Experience working with business stakeholders, SMEs, and delivery teams.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality outcomes.

Desirable Skills

• Experience working with SaaS, ERP, CRM, HRIS, or enterprise business platforms.
• Experience working within Agile, Scrum, or hybrid delivery environments.
• Knowledge of business process improvement and solution optimisation techniques.
• Experience supporting change management and user adoption activities.
• Exposure to release management and application lifecycle processes.
• Experience working within enterprise-scale transformation or digital programs.
• Understanding of integration concepts and enterprise application ecosystems.
