The Role • Provide essential support to multiple Submarine Shipbuilding (SHAPM) Program Offices within NAVSEA Team Submarine. • Contribute to program offices focused on the COLUMBIA Class, VIRGINIA Class, and Future Attack Submarine (SSN(X)) programs. • Support the Marine Engineering Competency Domain (SEA 05Z). • Engage with the broader TEAM SUB structure, encompassing PEO Strategic Submarine, PEO Attack Submarines, PEO Undersea Warfare Systems, and the AUKUS Integration & Acquisition Office. • Apply scientific and mathematical principles to develop technical solutions for complex engineering challenges. What You'll Need • Master's degree in a technical or engineering discipline. • 7 years of professional engineering experience preferred. • 7+ years of experience in the design, testing, qualification, and production of naval shipboard electrical and/or propulsion equipment is highly desired. • Experience with Submarines and/or the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program is a plus. • Experience with large electrical machines and/or power electronics is desirable. • Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
