Welbeck is bringing a brand-new, state-of-the-art private healthcare centre to Oxford, marking an exciting phase of growth for the organisation. The facility will offer a wide range of specialist services delivered by leading clinicians, supported by cutting edge technology and a strong focus on patient-centred, same day care. With a variety of new roles being created across clinical and operational teams, Welbeck Oxford presents an opportunity to join an innovative, forward-thinking environment that is set to redefine private healthcare provision in the area.
About the role
As a Healthcare Assistant within Theatres at Welbeck Oxford, you will be a key member of the multidisciplinary team, supporting the delivery of safe, effective and compassionate care within our state-of-the-art day surgery centre. Working alongside consultants, registered nurses and theatre practitioners, you will help ensure patients receive a seamless, personalised experience throughout their surgical journey, from admission through to discharge. Within the theatre environment, you may support either our Theatre Team during surgical procedures or our Pre/Post-Operative Pods Team, caring for patients before and after surgery and contributing to their comfort, safety and recovery.
This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days are the same. You will support a wide range of clinical activities, assist with delegated patient care duties, prepare clinical areas and equipment, maintain high standards of infection prevention and control, and help facilitate the smooth flow of patients through the service. Through your professionalism, attention to detail and compassionate approach, you will play an important role in delivering the exceptional patient experience and clinical excellence that Welbeck is known for
About you
You are a caring, motivated and professional Healthcare Assistant who is passionate about delivering outstanding patient-centred care. You understand the importance of dignity, privacy and compassion and take pride in supporting patients during what can often be a significant and sometimes anxious healthcare experience. Whether providing reassurance before a procedure, supporting recovery after surgery or working alongside clinicians in a busy theatre environment, you consistently place patients at the heart of everything you do.
You thrive in a fast-paced clinical setting and enjoy working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Organised and proactive, you can manage your workload effectively, remain calm under pressure and recognise when concerns need to be escalated. With strong communication skills, a commitment to continuous learning and a genuine desire to make a difference, you embody Welbeck's values of Collaboration, Ambition, Kindness and Empowerment while helping us redefine the day surgery experience for our patients
An effective communicator, you know how to adapt your style and tone, whether verbal or written to a range of audiences ensuring your message is clear and effective whilst contributing positively to both the patient experience and team culture.
