Job Description

Clinical Pathology Laboratories, Inc., a leading Austin-based medical laboratory, is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to support leaders and staff in a patient-focused, quality-driven environment. In this role, you'll provide strategic HR guidance on workforce planning, employee relations, performance management, and organizational development. You will collaborate with clinical and laboratory leaders to drive engagement, retention, and change initiatives, ensuring HR practices align with healthcare regulations, CPL policies, and our culture of integrity, accuracy, and service to patients and physicians.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as strategic HR partner to laboratory and clinical leaders to support organizational goals and patient-focused culture
  • Advise managers on employee relations, performance management, and corrective actions in compliance with employment laws
  • Lead talent planning, recruitment support, onboarding, and workforce development initiatives
  • Coach leaders on engagement, retention, and change management in a healthcare environment
  • Support compensation, benefits, and HR policy interpretation and communication
  • Analyze HR metrics (turnover, engagement, staffing) and recommend data-driven improvements
  • Facilitate training on HR policies, leadership skills, and compliance topics
  • Ensure HR practices align with regulatory requirements and CPL quality standards
  • Partner with leaders on organizational design and staffing optimization
  • Support diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives across the organization
