Job Description

Data Scientist Location: Belfast (Hybrid)

Eligibility:

UK work authorisation required (no sponsorship available) We're working with an organisation investing heavily in data, AI, and advanced analytics, and they're looking for a Data Scientist to help turn complex datasets into meaningful, actionable insights. This is a hands on role where you'll build data pipelines, develop predictive models, and apply cutting edge AI techniques, including NLP and generative AI to solve real business problems and influence strategic decisions.

What you'll be doing:

  • Extract, transform, and analyse data from multiple structured and unstructured sources
  • Build and deploy predictive and prescriptive models
  • Develop generative AI and NLP based solutions for complex data challenges
  • Identify trends, patterns, and insights to improve operational performance
  • Work cross-functionally with stakeholders to deliver data-driven solutions
  • Stay up to date with emerging trends in AI, ML, and data science

What you'll bring:

  • Solid experience in data science or advanced analytics roles
  • Strong Python skills (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn)
  • Experience building predictive models (forecasting, clustering, regression)
  • Hands-on experience with LLMs, NLP, or generative AI techniques
  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with large datasets
  • Experience with data visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau or similar)
  • Ability to communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
