Job Description


- Focus on LAN aspect more than wireless
- Will help support the Americas regions for all projects
- Will focus on executive office support if needed
- Looking for large enterprise experience
- Will move into behavioral questions if candidates pass the lab portion of the interview.
Typical task breakdown:
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve LAN issues and replace defective components as needed
- Respond as needed to support requests that relate to LAN development and support
- Provide off-shift support for critical incidents. Team members rotate through an on-call schedule, requiring occasional off-shift and weekend support calls
- Work directly, as needed, with business partners and vendors with integration of infrastructure
- Design and implement processes and process improvements to aid in development and support
- Follow ITSM process and documentation for all changes
- Collaborate with other technical teams as needed to plan and execute changes (i.e., firewall, VPN, wireless, NAC, etc.)
- Advise business partners regarding technical questions/issues in the LAN space

Requirements

  • 6+ years of LAN implementation & support
  • Strong hands-on experience with Cisco switches & equipment
  • TCP/IP, Ethernet, QoS & IP subnetting
  • VLANs, VLAN Trunking & switching configuration
  • OSPF
  • Copper & fiber cabling
  • Large enterprise networking experience
  • Strong LAN troubleshooting and implementation skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams, business partners & vendors
  • 5?7+ years of progressively responsible Network Engineering experience
