Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Piping Designer for a remote position who is excited about working on projects that enable the heart of our clients’ business.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on projects involving state-of-the-art industrial and pharmaceutical facilities. You will be accountable for the schedule and technical quality of assigned routine engineering tasks while gaining familiarity with client expectations, project scope, budget, earned value (progress measurement), multi-office project execution, and scheduling.

You will effectively recognize and communicate scope and design changes promptly. Working with a multi-disciplinary, highly interactive team, you will review vendor drawings, execute piping engineering design, and develop design estimates.

You will also have the opportunity to utilize your technical expertise to mentor other professionals, helping team members develop their skills and grow professionally.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform piping engineering design for industrial and pharmaceutical facilities.
• Ensure schedule adherence and technical quality of assigned engineering tasks.
• Develop familiarity with client expectations, project scope, budgets, earned value (progress measurement), and schedules.
• Lead projects involving multi-office execution and coordinate assigned tasks.
• Identify, recognize, and promptly communicate scope and design changes.
• Review vendor drawings and execute piping engineering design activities.
• Develop design estimates for assigned projects.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure effective project execution.
• Utilize technical expertise to mentor and guide other professionals.
• Demonstrate strong organizational skills, multitasking abilities, and collaboration throughout project execution.

Required Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree (AA) in Computer Aided Drafting and Design or a similar technical degree.
• At least 15 years of piping design experience.
• Advanced working knowledge of piping design using 2D/3D modeling software, such as:
• Hexagon SmartPlant S3D
• Autodesk Plant 3D
• Candidates local to the Cincinnati, OH office are preferred; however, candidates located anywhere in the United States will be considered.
