What You'll Be Doing

• Developing and maintaining Python-based applications and REST APIs.
• Building and enhancing web applications using frameworks such as Django and Flask.
• Working with SQL databases including PostgreSQL and MySQL.
• Supporting data processing and automation tools used in analytical workflows.
• Contributing to testing, debugging and software quality initiatives.
• Working with cloud technologies including AWS and Google Cloud Platform.
• Using Git and participating in collaborative development and code reviews.
• Learning modern deployment practices, Docker and CI/CD processes.

What We're Looking For

• A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Bioinformatics or a related subject, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong foundations in Python development.
• Understanding of web development and REST APIs.
• Knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Experience with HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
• Familiarity with Git or other version control systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Nice to Have

• Exposure to Django or Flask through university projects, internships or personal projects.
• Experience with AWS or Google Cloud Platform.
• Knowledge of Docker and CI/CD concepts.
• Exposure to Pandas, NumPy, R or machine learning.
• Interest in scientific, healthcare, biotech or data-focused environments.
