Job Description

Saalex is seeking a Lab Management/Resources Specialist in Camarillo, CA. The selected candidate will oversee the allocation, management, and optimization of organizational resources supporting facility maintenance, renovation, and capital improvement projects. This individual will serve as a key liaison between project stakeholders, ensuring resources, personnel, materials, and financial assets are effectively coordinated to support successful project execution while maximizing efficiency and minimizing waste. The ideal candidate will have experience with maintenance management systems, project coordination, facility operations, and resource planning in a secure government environment.

Position Type: Full-Time

Salary: $76k-$100k annually (depending upon experience)

Work Location: Onsite

Essential Functions:

  • Oversee the allocation, coordination, and optimization of organizational resources to support facility maintenance, renovation, and capital projects.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for personnel seeking assistance with tools, materials, labor resources, and project support.
  • Coordinate materials, labor, and financial assets to ensure projects are executed efficiently and within established timelines.
  • Support planning, execution, and completion of facility maintenance and capital improvement initiatives.
  • Manage and monitor resource utilization to minimize waste and maximize productivity across departments.
  • Utilize maintenance management systems, including Maximo or similar platforms, to track, manage, and coordinate maintenance activities.
  • Oversee inspections, validate deficiency data, and support the development of long-range maintenance plans.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, contractors, and project teams to ensure resources are available and projects remain on schedule.
  • Track project status, identify resource constraints, and recommend solutions to improve operational efficiency.
  • Prepare reports, documentation, and communications related to resource planning, maintenance activities, and project execution.
  • Provide excellent customer service and professional communication while working independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Other duties as assigned or required.

Required:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in resource management, facilities operations, maintenance planning, project coordination, or a related field.
  • Experience coordinating materials, labor, financial resources, or project support activities.
  • Experience working with maintenance management systems such as Maximo or similar platforms.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate resources across diverse projects and stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project tracking/documentation tools.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Facilities Management, Construction Management, Public Administration, or a related field required.

Desired:

  • Experience supporting government, Department of Defense (DoD), or defense contracting environments.
  • Experience with facility maintenance, renovation, infrastructure, or capital improvement programs.
  • Familiarity with maintenance inspections, deficiency tracking, and long-range maintenance planning.
  • Knowledge of resource allocation, budgeting, and contract coordination processes.
  • Experience supporting secure facilities or classified programs.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Facilities Management, Construction Management, Public Administration, or a related field required.

Security Clearance:

  • Active Secret clearance required. Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc.
