Accountant – US Accounting (Part Time)

Job Summary

Procyon Technostructure is seeking an experienced Accountant with hands-on expertise in US accounting, bookkeeping, financial documentation, and account reconciliations. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Microsoft Excel, comfortable managing accounting records and tax notices, and capable of supporting financial reporting and month-end close activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily bookkeeping, general ledger entries, and account reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate financial records, supporting documents, and accounting documentation.
• Review and manage contracts and related financial documentation.
• Handle tax notices, maintain compliance records, and coordinate follow-ups as required.
• Prepare financial reports and support month-end closing activities.
• Use Microsoft Excel for financial analysis, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of accounting records.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve accounting-related queries.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience in US accounting and bookkeeping.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger management and account reconciliations.
• Experience handling tax notices, compliance documentation, and contract records.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, data analysis, and financial reporting.
• Strong documentation, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a remote work environment.

Compensation

Minimum Pay Rate: $15–$18 per hour on a 1099 independent contractor basis, depending on experience and qualifications.
